Defining a Prayer
Prayer is the most critical role and activity of our daily walks of life. In Hebrew words, ‘prayer is an evolution of interacting with God, frequently through a spontaneous form of petitions and thanking….’ For instance, such as Isaac (Genesis 25:20-21), Moses (Exodus 32:9-10), Samuel (1 Samuel 12:18-25), Job−watch video link given below (Job 42:10), and even the Son of God acted in prayers that changed the situation for the better. It leads us closer to God, and He’ll bless us if we ask for anything according to His purposes. Prayer is a way of being towards God, relating to our spiritual warfare and those around us. It is also a way of learning to be ourselves with commitment whereby God opens His ears to hear.
Rick Warren says, “God can handle your doubt, anger, fear, grief, confusion, and questions. You can bring everything to Him in prayer.”
Some Key Points of Prayer
Prayer has defined as the act of praying to God, a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God. Someone says, “If you only pray when you’re in trouble, then you’re in trouble.”
We should not forget to pray today because God didn’t forget to wake us up this morning. I do believe in the power of prayers. There is no expiration date for prayers. You never know when, where, or how God will answer, but we need to pray. Prayer has defined as the act of praying to God; a solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, which called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
“God speaks in the silence of the heart. Listening is the beginning of prayer.” (Mother Teresa)
How to Pray?
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened” Matt. 7:7 & 8 (NIV). Therefore, may these words inspire you to pray more.
